Freeze drying maintains nearly all the nutrition of the preserved product, without dependance on electricity or temperature for storage. Wild harvested from private property (only!), our maitake is sold by volume, not weight. Freeze dried mushrooms weigh a fraction of their fresh weight. Each package is 1 cups.
